Happy 2014 y'all~*~

I hope everyone's had a good holiday season! With all the crazy sales going on in this time of year, you know your favorite shopaholic had to jump on that. I had a little haul from NastyGal.com and SoleStruck.com with - I realized afterwards - all black items! Timeless, right?

ITEMS FROM NG:
*The first dress is my second purchase from Motel brand. It's a nice, substantial material with a nice A-line flare but it's a tad on the short side even on my 5'2" figure. But I love the neckline! I've been looking for an off-the-shoulder piece, which imo is a universally flattering silhouette.
*I was keeping an eye on these Report booties for a while - I think it gives a nice balance of edgy and preppy. They're surprisingly comfy, props to the chunky heel.
*The second dress is a sale item I initially regretted. It's way more flow-y and loose on me than I had anticipated! On the model, it looked perfect like loose in a comfy way but still form fitting - but on me, it looks like it has extra pleats on the waistline. Boo *thumbs down* but go with the ~flow~ I suppose, but never going with final sale purchases anymore.
*The second pair of ankle boots are by NG's actual shoe line Shoe Cult, which are pretty quality! The leather doesn't look cheap or fake, and I like the structured vibe from them. They aren't as comfortable but I feel like they have a big versatility factor to them, definitely to be featured in future ootd's/lookbooks!

ITEM FROM SS:
*I've worn these worn a couple time and I have had a handful of people tell me they are afraid of them. So... success. c; but for real, I love the unique edge from this pair of spiked loafers! They aren't so comfortable but the look of them! The studs are pointy, the ends of the shoes are pointy, and the overall shoe gives a masculine feel that I'm excited to pair with feminine dresses, etc.

I promise I'm not a witch. I just bought a lot of black things... And I make no promises to stopping that.
Best wishes to everyone in this new year!
